MarketFast launch video: 200+ users in 24 hours from one Reddit post
MarketFast is our own SaaS, so this launch was the system tested with our own product. One 52-second video, posted in r/buildinpublic. No ads, no launch platform, no waitlist blast.
The product
MarketFast helps founders find validated SaaS ideas with real market proof, and see what competitors earn, charge and run as ads. The buyer is a solo founder who is tired of building things nobody wants.
The video, beat by beat
- Hook: "I missed Bitcoin in 2013." A regret every founder on Reddit understands, on a crypto price list.
- Turn: "I'm NOT missing SaaS." The story becomes about the viewer's next move.
- The chat with mom: the founder who keeps saying he's about to launch. Funny, and true for the audience.
- Pain: "I just... built." Months of building with no proof anyone wanted it.
- Discovery: a search bar, "Find proven SaaS", then the real product on screen.
- Proof: competitors, their real MRR, the ads that are making them go viral.
- Close: "Stop building ideas. Build what already works."
Why it works
- It's a story first. Nobody on Reddit upvotes an ad, but people upvote a founder being honest about a mistake.
- The product shows up only after the pain lands, at the moment the viewer wants the answer.
- Real screens, real numbers. Reddit punishes anything that looks staged.
The result
The Reddit post passed 55K views and brought 200+ users in the first 24 hours, with €0 spent on ads. The post title says it plainly: the first paying users came from this video.
How we make every launch video
- 01Research and angleWe read your buyers' reviews, Reddit threads and competitors to find the one pain they repeat. That pain becomes the hook.
- 02ScriptHook in 3 seconds, pain, discovery, outcome, call to action. You approve every word before anything is animated.
- 03VoiceoverA pro voice records the script. You get the takes and pick the one that sounds like your brand.
- 04VideoMotion design on your real product screens, cut to the voice and the music. 30 seconds in 5 days, 60 seconds in 10.
- 05Launch planWhere to post, what to write with the video, and when. A launch video only works if the right people see it in the first 24 hours.
